Smith County Justice

Smith County Justice is a non-fiction book by David Ellsworth exposing crime and corruption in Smith County, Texas. It was first published in January of 1985, but chronicles the Tyler Police Department’s penchant for intentionally framing innocent people. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals later overturned the wrongful convictions of 100 convicted defendants ensnared in a sting operation orchestrated by Tyler Police.
